About Me

I'm an experienced Digital Product & Experience Designer based in Wellington, New Zealand. I help organisations create valuable products and services through UX research, strategy & design. I strive to always put the end-user at the heart of the design process - applying the full design spectrum to craft digital solutions that users need, whilst helping businesses thrive in the digital world.

I've had the privilege of gaining hands-on experience in a variety of design disciplines. I've been a product designer dedicated to SaaS web applications, a 'jack-of-all' digital designer working on graphic, motion, marketing and interface design, a project manager for web & mobile software delivery and a product owner for a team of developers.

I've worked with a diverse range of clients on some really interesting projects - my set of experiences has meant that no two weeks are ever really the same for me, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love working in a fast-paced environment with interesting challenges to solve, and great people to collaborate with and learn from.

Web Design Lead
August 2025  —  Current

Secondment into Heidi's GTM team to spearhead the design of an ambitious web replatforming initiative, providing an engaging and scalable top-of-funnel experience with Heidi's marketing platform.

Senior Product Designer
August 2024  —  Current

Experience design for Heidi's AI medical scribe; empowering clinicians to spend less time on administration and focus on valuable patient care.

Full-stack product UI/UX design, from high-level strategy through to meticulous UI delivery.

Rapid feature iteration, interaction design, growth experiments, DesignOps leadership, discovery and validation research, PRD documentation, design hiring and evaluation frameworks, and even the occasional front-end code contribution.

Webflow Developer
July 2023  —  February 2024

The Heidi team's go-to freelance developer for complex, fast-turnaround Webflow builds.

  • Translated design wireframes and mockups into fully-responsive website pages using Webflow and Relume.
  • Collaborated with Design and Marketing teams to deliver web best practices and great interactions across browsers and device sizes.
  • Implemented animations and interactions using Webflow's built-in tools and custom code.
  • Set up integrations with third-party APIs and other web services such as Zapier and PostHog.
  • Ensured compliance with SEO best practices and accessibility standards.
  • Provided training and support on maintaining site content using Webflow CMS tools.
Senior UI Designer
July 2023  —  August 2024

Lead UX designer for the modernisation of Kiwibank’s web digital banking platform.

  • Led the Kiwibank design system for web. Ensured usability, brand alignment, and accessibility are at the heart of web applications for both customer digital banking and internal staff tools.
  • Tight collaboration with three product development squads to build best-in-class digital experiences – supported delivery through implementation guidelines, but also abstracting these into repeatable patterns.
  • Worked in dual-track ideation and delivery phases – sweating out the details and interactions in every-day banking experiences, but also zooming out and working to reimagine these key features for moments that matter.
  • Contributed to digital experience visions and informed roadmaps using insights and research, advocating for the right touch of experience uplift at the right time.
  • Shaped and executed on rapid-turnaround usability and validation testing.
  • Supported and mentored designers and engineers in design system best-practise to ensure holistic experience application across other initiatives.
  • Led a revised DesignOps approach to managing Figma teams, files and components, to support designers working across multiple large-scale banking transformation projects.

Provided project delivery for web and mobile – working with stakeholders to discover, scope and roadmap features and tasks, as well as communicating progress and deliverables to the client to ensure an overall successful project.

In this role I also continued my design responsibilities; performing UX research and creating UI designs while operating as a key part of the delivery team.

Digital Designer

Created great design solutions across a diverse set of in-house and agency projects.

My role encompassed all aspects of the product design process – UX research, wireframing, prototyping, UI design, user testing, copywriting, branding, content strategy, creative direction and product education.

I also produced graphic design material, motion animations and print collateral for clients across a range of industries.

  • Spoke at industry-leading conference UX New Zealand 2023 in a panel covering professional wellbeing as a UX practitioner.
  • Accepted into the Medium publication ‘UX Collective’ with several articles on UX research practises.
  • Led the design of multiple platforms with high impact to New Zealanders such as Kiwibank, Sky, and NZ Parliament.
